The Blood Turned

The colloquial term given to describe what happened in the bodies of those who suffer from Neurological Zombosis, as if the blood itself has ‘changed direction’ to shift their physical state from human to Zombie.

Society 2.0

The term coined by the Preservation to describe our world after the Blood Turned. This term is used triumphantly, to represent how we have moved on and rebuilt a fairer, purer way of living after the cleansing of the population.
7 oh 5

Or five minutes past seven, PM, on October 1, 2012, the moment that every human carrying AB- blood in their bodies suffered a genetic transformation that ultimately destroyed their human form and allowed them rebirth as Zombies.

The 86 million

It was estimated that roughly 86 million people were carrying AB- blood at the moment it turned and transformed them into Zombies. This is the official starting figure for the number of Zombies we faced, but does not take into account others who were bitten and turned instantly in the vicinity of the turning humans. It also does not take into account deaths suffered as collateral damage in accidents that occurred due to panic.

Neurological Zombosis (NZ)

The official scientific diagnosis for the Zombie disease.

The Preservation

The organisation hastily created to counter the global crisis in the most efficient way possible. The Preservation has no autonomy over individual governments, except on any issue that pertains to the control and management of the Zombie outbreak. This has led to strained relationships over how far that definition can be stretched.

Global Council

The Global Council is made up of a representative of each country in the world combining to create an international panel of facilitators, ensuring that the doctrines of the Preservation are communicated effectively and implemented efficiently.

Sarah Locke

The UK’s representative on the Global Council since its inception.

Alex Wright

Alex (1975-2015) was an investigative journalist who became a specialist in the international response to the Zombie outbreak, who was ostracised from all UK publications following an interview with Sarah Locke from the Preservation. His diaries, found in his home, formed the foundation for the creation of Zombieleaks.

George A. Romero

The father of the Zombie film, Romero spent his entire career writing, producing and directing a series of seminal Zombie media. His influence spanned the globe and numerous aspiring writers followed in his footsteps, helping to create a rich, in-depth Zombie sub-culture, before life begun to imitate art.

Church of Zombology

A pseudo-religion formed to honour the memory and celebrate the life of George A Romero. From modest beginning the Church is thought to have amassed millions of users worldwide, though its existence is not recognised by the Preservation nor officially by any government.

Post-Zombosis Stress Disorder

What Zombieleaks is looking to reveal and expose, before it is too late.
